When Time Inc. senior management decided to repurpose the previously unoccupied company book store and create an interactive TECH BAR, Conant Architects was called in. Conceived as a learning and sharing environment for Time Inc.’s digital content media, the focus needed to be clearly on the media.

The concept is literally a bar where the barista is a technical facilitator who encourages learning and exploration of the tools of today’s media. On both far sides of the central bar are flanking spaces.  One space is for casual sharing and interaction, while the other is for informal presentations by editors or informal groups.
