T - Systems

To effectively establish the pros and cons of the building options, we have prioritized our review of issues. High priority issues have the most significant impact on which location will provide the best occupancy accommodation. Two types of organizational occupancy have been considered. These are:

1. General - Sales and Service Office

(Primary Focus)

Approximately 120 staff persons would operate out of a general office environment. Typical staff office Data/Telecommunication capabilities are required. No central Data Center necessary. Ability to expand over time should be planned.

HIGH PRIORITY ISSUES:

  • Spatial ability to accommodate the organizational requirements.
  • Building systems to support a general office requirement.· Proximity to public transportation.
  • Quality daylight and general quality of the building and neighborhood.

2. Central Office and Data Center

(Secondary Focus)

In addition to the requirements outlined above, the Data Center requires a much higher level of technical capability provided by the building services.

HIGH PRIORITY ISSUES:

  • Emergency power backup and increased access to electricity
  • Additional and off-hour cooling
  • Segregated and multiple power and communication routing into and through the building.
  • Fire protection systems which are appropriate for technical environments
