    When first opened in 1927 as the New York Furniture Exchange, the furnishing industry was in its eaarly deveopment. Today The New York Design Center has retained Conant Architects to help rebrand and reposition the NYDC to be a central exchange of design ideas and insight.

    Today, the building's facade entrance and lobby, floor lobbies, café and conference center as well as a future roof event space are in progressive phases of development and execution. The design concept is to reinterpret the original arrt deco expression in a fresh and timeless aesthetic, while expanding building services, safety and style.
