      Citigroup 666 5th Avenue
    New York, NY

The ever growing demands of Citigroup forced the consolidation of their Global Operations and Technology Group to a new location centrally located in New York . CONANT ARCHITECTS was retained to develop a new space that met their high design standards with a cost effective solution.

Key portions of the existing mechanical infrastructure and existing partitions were evaluated and salvaged so that the budget constraints would not affect the aesthic features of the space. By moving existing main ductwork around the core, low ceilings heights were raised, translucent glass office fronts added daylight and traffic flow was re-routed from the core to the interior workspace encouraging more interaction between employees.

A high end reception area was defined through the use of creative surfaces such as wood ceilings, stone flooring, an accent oriental rug and a glistening red feature panel behind the reception desk. Working with Citigroup’s art department exquisite pieces of artwork were placed strategically throughout the space.
